On April 30, 2024, Professor Johannes Lehmann and Douglas Young, owner of Spruce Haven dairy farm, testified in Massachusetts congress on pyrolysis bioenergy on dairy farms. At the testimony, Prof. Lehmann and Doug Young shared data on the potential energy generated from pyrolyzing dairy manure, which can be utilized to offset the farm’s energy consumption.
